Preset programmes

This is is the default programme. It is meant for buildings with a high user frequency like airports and train stations. Here is no need for automatic flushing because stagnation hardly builds up in the pipes – due to the repeated use. Hence, the automatic flushing is turned off and the thermal disinfection time has been preset to an adequate 3.5 minutes.

Public buildings such as libraries or town halls have a high frequency of use during opening hours. Therefore only occasional flushing is necessary. A thermal disinfection time of 3.5 minutes is perfectly adequate here. The automatic flushing is set to flush every 72 hours after the last time it is used.

Taps in doctors offices and hospitals are fairly regularly used on a daily basis. Since health institutions require the highest level of disinfection, the automatic flushing is set to flush every 24 hours independent of usage. For example, this permits automatic flushing every morning at 6:00, avoiding stagnated water for the first patients. Due to the possibility of long pipe runs, the thermal disinfection is increased to 11 minutes in programme 3.

Arenas and stadiums bathrooms see fairly irregular use. They often have very long pipes. Here, the automatic flushing time is increased to 10 minutes. The flushing interval is set to 72 hours after the last activation. The cleaning mode also makes sense if the bathrooms are cleaned manually. If this is not the case, then programme mode 7 might also be a good fit.

Office building bathrooms are used very frequently. Therefore 1 minute of automatic flushing is sufficient, which also helps to keep water costs low. A thermal disinfection of 3.5 minutes is sufficient due to the low risk of stagnation and regular short-term flushing. The automatic flushing is set to 72 hours after the last activation.

Taps within buildings in the meat or dairy industry are used very frequently, making automatic flushing unnecessary. In programme 6 the cleaning mode has been turned off, as cleaning is done with high-pressure cleaners. Due to the high frequency of use, a thermal disinfection of 3.5 minutes is sufficient.

Taps in schools and nurseries are used fairly irregularly. There is also the chance of long pipe runs. That is why the automatic flushing time is set to 5 minutes. The flushing interval is set to 72 hours after the last activation. The deactivation of the cleaning mode makes sense if the cleaning is done by a high-pressure cleaner.
