Choosing your way to operate the settings

Choosing your way to operate the settings

There are two ways of operating the settings of the Bau Cosmopolitan E. Either manual operation or by remote control.

Manual operation

The set programmes can be changed through gestures in front of the infrared sensor. Find out below how to enter the settings mode.

Entering the settings mode

  1. To enter the settings mode, the tap must be disconnected from the power supply for at least 10 seconds and then be reconnected again.
  2. Now the sensor on the tap flashes 4 times.
  3. Hold your thumb on the lower part of the sensor and cover around 80% of the sensor.
  4. The tap starts flashing again at short intervals. Wait until the blinking stops.
  5. Remove your thumb. Now the water flow stops.
  6. The settings mode is now active and ends automatically after 3 minutes if no changes are made.

Remote control operation

Remote control operation

A comfortable way to operate the settings is through the separatly available GROHE remote control, suitable for all our touchless taps. With it, you can access the settings and user data. In order to connect the remote control make sure you hold it at the right angle to the sensor and not too far away. The sensor also has to be ready to receive the signal for the remote control to work.

Connecting the remote control

  1. Wake up the tap by briefly triggering it. Now the tap has a more intense infrared field for 3 minutes.
  2. Hold the remote control in a straight angle towards the infrared eye.
  3. Select "Connect" on the remote control and confirm with “OK”
  4. When connected, a small check mark appears in the upper right corner.
  5. If it is not connected, a small "X" appears at the top right and an alternate menu is displayed, which is only used for older taps. Therefore the connection must be repeated.
