Usage data

If you want to check data on water consumption and thermal disinfection cycles, the GROHE remote control comes into its own. Such user data can be easily retrieved, which can be very useful for verification purposes, for example to authorities.

Accessing usage data

  1. First connect the remote control with the tap.
  2. To read out usage data, select the "Monitoring" menu item.
  3. With the menu items "Counter total of automatic flushing" and "past time since last flush" I can prove, that the water pipes are flushed regularly, and no stagnant water is produced.

Deriving the actual opening and closing cycles

In a battery-powered tap, the battery consumes energy with each opening and closing impulse. GROHE specifies a battery life of 7 years with 150 opening and closing cycles per day. This means that the more often the tap is used, the sooner the battery will run out.
Using the information "Counter total” & "Since usage reset” in the subitem list “Opening and closing cycles”, you can derive the actual opening and closing cycles and thus react to complaints if the battery runs out to quickly.

Water consumption and thermal disinfection

Water consumption and thermal disinfection

Scrolling down lets you view the water consumption in minutes. By calculating the running time in minutes multiplied by the flow rate per minute, the total consumption of the valve can be calculated.

The last point is "Thermal disinfection“. You can see from this how many thermal disinfections have been performed in the past, or since the counter has been reset. This can also be used as proof, for example to the authorities.
