The magic is in the filter
Multi-step filtration

Partnering with leading filter experts

Depending on different regions and the nature of the pipes that are installed in the houses, tap water can be of different quality and even contain contaminants and impurities. For our GROHE Blue system we have worked with BWT, Europe’s leading filtered water professionals, to ensure that our system produces an unparalleled, refreshing drinking experience. It uses a multi-step filtration process to remove even the smallest particles from tap water, while leaving behind all the important minerals that benefit your vitality.

Learn about the importance of the filter

Limescale in tap water can shorten the life of kitchen appliances. You can counteract this with the GROHE Blue Home filter by filtering out the calcium ions that are responsible for the formation of limescale. The filter also removes harmful heavy metals such as copper and lead. You are offered a whole new taste experience, as the removal of coarse particles and chlorine makes the water purer and tastier.

How the water flows

The water flows into the filter at a top opening and is directed down through an internal tube. Once at the bottom, the water flows out of the tube and then up through various filter layers before flowing out of the filter through a separate opening.

Easy maintenance

Replacing the filter

The filter should be replaced at least every 12 months or as soon as the filter reaches the end of its service life - whichever comes first. The LED indicator on the left handle of the tap shows when the filter capacity is nearing the end. A flashing orange light means that the capacity is less than 10%. If it flashes quickly, you know the capacity is less than 1% and the filter cartridge needs to be replaced. When the device is connected to the GROHE Watersystems App, a push notification will remind you to replace the filter. In order to do this, simply unscrew the old one and screw on the new filter. You do not even need to turn off the water supply for this.
